*** As of May 1, 2010 the Housing Authority of the City of Colorado Springs WILL NOT be accepting applications for the following programs until further notice:
Public Housing Family Program, Public Housing Senior Program (62 years and older), Public Housing Disabled and Near Elderly (50+), Pikes Peak Property, Kiowa Property, and the Section 8 Voucher Program.

Starting Monday May 3, 2010 the Housing Authority of the City of Colorado Springs will accept applications for:
Moderate Rehabilitation Program (Mod Rehab), Rio Grande Village Apartments, Shook's Run Apartments, and referrals from: City and State Tenant Based Rental Assistance, Homeless Veterans Program (VASH), and Plaza on Platte (SRO) ***

To identify and to utilize resources to their maximum effectiveness in accomplishing the Authority’s goals and objectives.

The goal of the Housing Authority of the City of Colorado Springs is to assist low to moderate-income families and elderly and disabled persons to obtain affordable housing that is safe, decent, and sanitary.

The Housing Authority has several Housing Assistance Programs it operates including Public Housing, Housing Choice Vouchers, Senior Housing, and the Plaza of Platte (SRO). Other Programs include Family Self-Sufficiency, Homeownership, and the Golden Circle Nutrition Program.

We have a significant inventory of non-HUD affordable rental housing that we can direct you to.
